Selling an LLC with an active Amazon Relay contract — what to expect
An LLC that already holds an active Amazon Relay contract is, in plain terms, the most valuable configuration we buy. The contract is the asset. Everything else — the MC number, the trucks, the dispatcher relationships — is replaceable. The contract isn't.
Why Relay LLCs close faster
Three reasons.
First, the diligence is shorter. We don't need to age your MC authority or guess whether you'll be approved. The Amazon dashboard tells us what we need to know in five minutes.
Second, insurance flexibility. We buy Relay LLCs whether the underlying insurance policy is active or has lapsed. As long as the LLC itself is in good standing, we can re-bind coverage as part of closing.
Third, the price is more predictable. Relay LLCs trade in a tighter band, which means fewer rounds of back-and-forth on valuation.
What we still verify
- That the Amazon contract is current and not in a probation/cure period
- That the MC number is in good standing on FMCSA
- That violation history is clean — or that any violations are already resolved
- That the LLC's federal/state filings are up to date
What transfers at closing
Same as any other deal: the LLC itself, the company phone number, the company email, the company bank account, and the MC/DOT records. The Amazon Relay contract transfers along with the LLC, since it lives on the LLC.
Loans
Active loans on the trucks or the company are not a deal-breaker. Disclose them up front and we'll work the payoff into the structure. We've closed deals with five-figure outstanding balances and we've closed deals with zero — both work.

For Relay LLCs, our average close is 7–10 days from the time we receive your details. The bottleneck is usually the bank, not us.
